Collector Safety
- Place grape skins and stems in closed yard waste bags/containers or in the green bin to avoid bees
- Place broken glass and other sharp items in a sealed, labelled box or in a rigid garbage container
- Individual bags, containers and bundles of wood must not weigh more than 20 kg (44 lbs.)
- Do not place waste containers on snowbanks or icy surfaces
- Detach tanks from toilet bowls
- Do not place used needles, syringes or lancets in garbage or recycling containers. They should only be disposed of in biohazard containers available at any of Peel‘s Community Recycling Centres (CRCs), free of charge. See page 21
- Household hazardous waste must never be set out for collection. It can be safely disposed of at a CRC, free of charge
