2012/2013 Waste Management Guide

Services - Reuse, Recycling
and Disposal

The reuse, recycling and disposal services offered at Community Recycling Centres (CRCs) supplement Peel’s curbside and apartment collection programs.

Peel’s CRCs are for use by Peel residents and small businesses only, and proper identification is required.

Proper identification includes:

  • Residents – identification with a current Peel address
  • Small businesses – an original signed letter on company letterhead
  • Contractors – a signed contract or work order with a Peel address referencing the vehicle

Note – Current Peel tax or utility bills are also accepted as proof of ID.

Items available for purchase at CRCs

  • reTHINK Paint Disposalbackyard composters
  • blue boxes
  • compost (loose or in bulk from spring to fall)
  • garbage tags
  • green bins and kitchen containers
  • rain barrels
  • reusable paint (can be picked up for free while supplies last)

CompostCompost for sale

The Region of Peel’s compost is available for purchase and can be used for landscaping, soil mix blending and light top-dressing on your lawn and garden. Compost is available in loose and bulk formats. If purchasing loose compost, please bring your own containers.
