Do Not Recycle These Items

  • Drinking glasses, cups, dishes, glass cookware, ceramics, mirrors, lightbulbs. (Compact fluorescent lightbulbs contain small amounts of mercury. Please take to Community Recycling Centre.)
  • Hazardous waste such as paint, motor oil, cleaners, and batteries. Place empty motor oil containers in the garbage
  • Plastic cups, plates, trays, utensils, plastic food wrap, plastic produce containers, chip bag
  • Plastic toys, pails, plant trays and pots, foam packaging "pop corn", other plastic packaging
  • Textiles such as shoes, clothing, shirts, pants, linen, towels
  • Coat hangers, wire, pots and pans, kitchen utensils
  • Shredded paper, tissue paper, paper cups, wax paper, paper towels, cookie bags, hardcover books

Bring Reusable Goods and Hazardous Waste to your local Community Recycling Centre. Throw other items in the garbage.
