This fall, the Region of Peel will host two Conservation Days - special one day events that bring specific waste management services to residential communities in Peel. Only residents arriving in vehicles will be permitted to enter the location.
Residents may drop off the following items free of charge:
- Household hazardous waste (batteries, household cleaners, paints and solvents)
- Reusable goods for Goodwill (clothing, books and small appliances – no furniture)
- Used electronic equipment (phones, personal computers, circuit boards, TVs)
- Confidential fine paper for shredding
The following items are not accepted at Conservation Day and may be taken to a Community Recycling Centre for proper disposal:
- furniture
- waste wood
- scrap metal
- tires
- garbage
The Region of Peel does not accept these items for disposal at Conservation Day or Community Recycling Centres.
