New Inglewood Municipal Well
The Region of Peel has identified the need for a new municipal well to service the Inglewood community. The existing Inglewood Well No. 2 is considered to be a GUDI, (Groundwater Under Direct Influence) water source which presents challenges to Source Water Protection requirements. The new municipal well will serve as a replacement for the existing Inglewood Well No. 2.
The Process
The Region of Peel has begun an Environmental Assessment (EA) study to investigate possible municipal well locations and identify watermain alignments to connect to the municipal well to the existing Inglewood Well No. 3 facility for treatment.
How to Get Involved
Public consultation is key to the success of this study. We want to ensure that anyone interested in this study has the opportunity to get involved and provide input before any decisions are made.
A tentative Public Information Centre (PIC) is planned for January 2016 and will be advertised in the local newspaper and posted on this page.
