Lakeview Water Treatment Facility Expansion
Phase 2

The Region of Peel is undertaking a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) study to address the need for a capacity increase at the Lakeview Water Treatment Facility. The Region’s Water and Wastewater Servicing Master Plan, May 1999, amended in April 2002, has identified the need to increase the capacity of the facility to meet the demands of future development in the Region of Peel. Through the Class Environmental Assessment planning process, the Region will examine the following:

  • Determine the future capacity requirements
  • Evaluate alternative water treatment options
  • Assess the impacts of the project
  • Identify measures to mitigate any adverse impacts

As part of the EA process, the evaluation process will be presented to interested or affected individuals and agencies through Public Information Centres (PIC.)
