Water Quality in Peel

2006 Annual Summary Report

The 2006 Annual Summary Report addresses the requirements outlined in Schedule 22 of the Ontario Drinking Water Systems Regulation (170/03, amended to 402/06) under the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), 2002.

The report includes a statement of compliance and non-compliance of the Region of Peel drinking water systems with terms and conditions of the Certificates of Approval, Permits to Take Water, Drinking Water Quality Standards Regulation (O.Reg. 169/03, amended to 248/06), and the Ontario Drinking-Water System Regulation 170/03. The report also contains a summary of the quantities and flow rates of water supplied, including monthly average and maximum daily flows and daily instantaneous peak flow rates during the period from January 1st to December 31st, 2006.

In addition, the Annual Summary Report includes the 2006 Drinking Water System Annual Reports for all of Peel’s waterworks systems submitted to the Ministry of the Environment (MOE), in accordance with Section 11 of O. Regulation 170/03, a summary of 2006 water quality inquiries within the Region of Peel, and planned water quality initiatives and upcoming projects.
