Tap Water Champion Challenge

The Region of Peel partnered with local municipal summer camps to hold a Tap Water Champion Challenge. Campers were challenged to enjoy tap water in a reusable water bottle during their week at camp. Children were educated on the health and environmental benefits of drinking tap water and received a free ice cream prize for their participation.

Prizes were generously donated by the following local businesses:

  • Dairy Queen -133 Queen St East, Brampton, ON, L6W 2A9
  • Dairy Queen - 10671 Chinguacousy Rd, Suite B19, Brampton, ON, L7A0N5
  • Baskin Robbins - 170 Sandalwood Pkwy East, Unit 9, Brampton, ON, L6Z 1Y5

Using reusable water bottles is a simple way to reduce the waste produced by single-use bottles and is an inexpensive and convenient way to enjoy the Region of Peel’s clean, safe tap water.

We’d like to thank the following community facilities for their participation and making this initiative a success:

  • Chinguacousy Wellness Centre
  • Gore Meadows Community Centre
  • Professor’s Lake Recreation Centre
  • Brampton Soccer Centre
  • Caledon Wellness Centre
  • Margaret Dunn Library
