How to Sort Your Waste

What Do I Do With...?

Garbage

Toilet ceramic:
A maximum of TWO old toilets, either the one-piece toilet type or a two-piece toilet type with the tank removed can be collected as bulky materials on your regular bi-weekly garbage collection day. This item can also be delivered to any of the Community Recycling Centres (CRCs). Drop-off fees will apply. For CRC locations, visit Community Recycling Centre Locations Reminder: The Region's Waste Collection By-Law stipulates that in order to have a two-piece toilet collected at the curb, the tank must be removed from the bowl and both pieces placed at the curb.

Let Them Loose!

Your recyclables end up in landfill if you tie them in plastic shopping bags.
