How to Sort Your Waste

What Do I Do With...?

There is no curbside collection for this item. Sod is comprised mainly of soil, which is essentially a "finished" product. Soil will not break down any further in the composting process. You may take sod (loose or in containers) to any of Peel's Community Recycling Centres (CRCs) for disposal. Drop-off fees will apply. Or turn the sod over to kill the grass, when dried, shake out the soil and incorporate it back into the ground or use for top dressing lawns. Deposit the dried grass or thatch in with yardwaste. For CRC locations and fees, visit Community Recycling Centres

Let Them Loose!
