Social Services at the Region of Peel
The Region of Peel Human Services department plans, manages and delivers quality, integrated services directly to residents or through our partners in the community.
Our services include:
- Child care and child care subsidy
- Crisis response
- Early years learning
- Employment supports
- Financial supports
- Homelessness prevention and outreach
- Housing and subsidy for housing
- Literacy programs for families
- Parenting programs
- Referral to a range of special services
- Many other services to help individuals and families
The Human Services department was formed in July, 2007 following a corporate reorganization that merged the former Social Services and Housing and Property Departments.
