Human Services staff will work with you to determine your needs and what you're eligible for - whether it's child care subsidy, financial assistance, employment programs or housing.
- Child Care
Child care subsidy is a program offered by the Region of Peel that helps you to pay for licensed child care for a child from birth to 12 years of age. Subsidised care may be available in our 12 Learn.Play.Care. Centres or in over 450 other centres and home-based child care programs in Peel.
- Ontario Works
Ontario Works (financial and employment assistance) Based on your income and needs, Ontario Works can provide you with money to help cover costs for basic needs (e.g. food and housing).
- Housing
We handle all applications for social housing in Peel, including Peel Living, non-profit social housing provider buildings, co-operatives and rent supplement. Buildings are a mix of rent-geared-to-income (subsidized) and market (non-subsidized) units.
