Event Details

Registration

Register now! Space is limited to 1,000 participants for the 5K event. If you are participating in the 5K event, register early to receive a technical t-shirt*! The 1K Kid's Course is limited to 100 children. (Children must be 10 years of age or younger on Oct. 30, 2010.)

Parking

Parking is available at the Bramalea City Centre. The event takes place on the north side of the mall.

Queen Street will be closed for the event. Please add extra time to your commute to account for this.

Kits

Please note that you are responsible for picking up your own event kit. If you are unable to do so, print and sign your registration confirmation form to authorize another individual to pick up the kit on your behalf.

The first 500 registered participants will get an event kit. Your kit will contain:

  • your numbered event bib** (the bib** will be embedded with a chip*** if registered for the 5K chip*** time event).
  • a waiver that must be signed prior to participation in the Run, Walk and Roll 5K event or 1K Kid's Course.
  • an assortment of other event day items.

All registered participants can pick up their kits:

  • on Tuesday, October 26 or Wednesday, October 27.
  • at Bramalea City Centre, Bay Court, lower level, 25 Peel Centre Dr., Brampton, ON.
  • from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.

In order to be eligible for prizes, pledge money must be dropped off by Tuesday, October 26 or Wednesday, October 27 between 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Bramalea City Centre's Bay Court, lower level.

Unclaimed event kits can be picked up on event day between 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. at 10 Peel Centre Drive (covered parking lot).

Check-in and start times

Checking in

Where do I check in on race day?
Registered participants must check in at 10 Peel Centre Drive (covered parking lot) at the time noted below. At check-in you (or the guardian for participants in the 1K Kid's Course) must sign a waiver in order to participate in either event.

5K wheelchair participant 7 a.m. - 7:45 a.m.
5K runner participant 7:30 a.m. - 8:15 a.m.
5K walker participant 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.
1K Kid's Course participant 7:30 a.m. - 8:45 a.m.

Unclaimed event kits can be picked up on event day between 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. at 10 Peel Centre Drive (covered parking lot).

A bag check will be available for $2 per bag with proceeds benefitting the United Way of Peel Region.

Start times

All participants will start according to the category they have registered in.

5K chip*** time participant For all 5K participants who choose to be chip*** timed, you will receive your official times and all times will be posted.

Additional Event Day Amenities Include:

  • A nourishing post-event snack for all participants.
  • A chance to meet some Regional service providers.

Route

The event begins and ends at 10 Peel Centre Drive in Brampton and travels along Queen Street, which will be closed for the duration of the event.

Green: Route leaving event starting point at 10 Peel Centre Dr. to turnaround point at Queen St. and Finchgate Blvd.

Red: Route travelling back from turnaround point to event finish line at 10 Peel Centre Dr.
