Residential Toilet Replacement Program

The Region of Peel offers $60 rebates to residents who replace inefficient toilets with new Peel-Approved water efficient models.

Toilets use up to 30 per cent of the water consumed inside your home. By making a switch to a Peel-Approved toilet you will save money on your water bill. All toilets on the Peel-Approved list have been tested for flushing performance and water savings.

Under rebate guidelines, the $60 rebate can be applied to:

• Single-flush toilets with less than or equal to 4.8 litres per flush;
• Dual-flush toilets that have both:
  1. reduced flush volume of less than or equal to 4.1 litres
  2. full flush volume of less than or equal to 6 litres

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for a rebate you must own or rent a single or multi-family dwelling in the Region of Peel.

How to Apply for a Rebate

1. Select an eligible water-efficient toilet from the Peel-Approved list
2. Purchase and install the toilet
3. Complete the appropriate application form:
• Single-Family Application Form (PDF 1.2 MB, 2 pages)
• Multi-Family Application Form (PDF 1.2 MB, 2 pages)
• Toilet Installation List (254 KB, 1 page)
4. Attach the original sales receipt for each purchased toilet with the completed application form
5. Owners of multi-residential dwellings must attach weigh scale bills that confirm the disposal of old toilets at any licensed municipal or provincial waste disposal facility
6. Mail or drop off the completed application package along with the original sales receipt to:

We recommend keeping a copy of the completed application form and sales receipt for your records.
