Water Wise Wednesday
In the summer, the demand for treated drinking water increases
by over 50 per cent - the direct result of outdoor watering.
Excessive demand challenges the water supply and distribution
system. In keeping with the Region of Peel's service
delivery philosophy, Water Wise Wednesday:
- Allows reservoirs
to refill during extended periods
of hot, dry weather;
- Gives the community to an opportunity to contribute
towards water conservation;
- Contributes to a healthy lawn, which needs a half inch of water, twice a week.
