Peel’s Accessibility Advisory Committee seeking Caledon members

The Region of Peel’s Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC) is looking for new committee member volunteers from the Town of Caledon.

Accessibility Advisory Committee role
The AAC works to improve opportunities and remove barriers for persons with disabilities living in Peel.
In keeping with Peel’s Community for Life, the AAC advises Peel Regional Council on ways of making Regional services and programs more inclusive.
Committee volunteer eligibility
While we encourage anyone who’s eligible to apply, we will give first consideration to applicants who identify with a disability.
To qualify as a committee volunteer, you must be:
- A Canadian citizen
- 18 years of age or older
- A resident, or a tenant or owner of land in the Town of Caledon, and/or
- A resident, or a tenant or owner of land, in Ontario that represents a group or organization in the Town of Caledon that acts on behalf of persons with disabilities that reside in the Region of Peel.
Elected officials of Regional Council or of the Council of a municipality in the Region of Peel, and employees of the Region of Peel or a municipality in the Region of Peel are not eligible to apply.
