2021 Census of Agriculture data is now available
Agriculture Census data helps us support farmers and strengthen food production in Peel
Peel farms bring healthy, locally produced food to our tables. They also play an important role in supporting Peel’s economy, cultural heritage, and the environment.
Peel’s 377 farms and their 530 farm operators provide a diversity of products on nearly 39,000 hectares of land and contribute $96 million in revenue to the economy.
Agriculture Census data supports Peel's Strategic Plan by:
- Ensuring access to local, nutritious food sources.
- Prioritizing sustainability and long-term benefits to future generations.
You can explore Peel’s agriculture Census data on Peel Region’s Census Information Hub. The Hub is a central location for Census data in Peel and supports the Community for Life vision.

We’ll keep updating the Hub as 2021 Census data is made available. We’ll also inform you of new releases.
The next release is expected in summer 2022. This release will feature data on income, families, and households.
