This plan is built on rich community insights. Throughout the spring and summer of 2015, we reached out to the community in new ways, using creative exhibits, social media and other methods to attract diverse voices to our strategic planning process.
Our Strategic Plan emerges directly from that feedback. It represents our community's vision, reflecting your collective priorities, needs and hopes for life in Peel in 2035.
Driven by Vision
Our community vision is "Community for Life" – a place where people choose to live and work for their entire lives because the quality of life is second to none. We will achieve that over the next two decades by focusing on:
- Living – improving people's lives in their time of need
- Thriving – building communities that are safe, integrated and complete
- Leading – being a future-oriented and accountable government
Focused on the Long-Term
For the first time ever, our Strategic Plan adopts a 20-year timeline, spanning multiple Council terms. This long-term focus allows us to take on more complex challenges and proactively rise to the challenges of the future.
