About Peel Asks Why

Peel Asks Why is a 2011 provincial election campaign initiated by the Region of Peel on behalf of its residents. Comprised of Brampton, Caledon and Mississauga, Peel has a population of approximately 1.3 million people and continues to be one of the fastest growing regions in Ontario. Unfortunately, residents' access to provincially-funded community services has not kept pace with this growth.

As a result, the people of Peel have to wait much longer than other Ontarians for key support services, such as affordable housing, mental health and child care. When these essential services are not available to our most vulnerable residents, the health, economy and quality of life in our communities suffers.

Peel Asks Why was launched to provide Peel residents with a platform to voice their concerns. Please join the discussion on our website and through our Facebook and Twitter pages to help make access to services a priority in the 2011 Provincial election.
