THE REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY OF PEEL

BY-LAW NUMBER 26-98

A by-law to assign Regional Road Numbers to Highways 7, 24, 50, and 136, as a result of the transfer of these highways from the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario to the Region of Peel, to re-designate Regional Road 11 (Charleston Sideroad) as Regional Road 24.

 

WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Municipality of Peel has by Resolution 98-128 passed on the 12th February, 1998 authorized the enactment of a by-law to amend the by-law with respect to assigning Regional Road Numbers to Highways 7, 24, 50, and 136, as a result of the transfer of these highways from the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario to the Region of Peel, and to re-designate Regional Road 11 (Charleston Sideroad) as Regional Road 24;

NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Regional Corporation enacts as follows:

1. That Highway 7 (also known as Queen Street East), from Highway 50 to 150 metres west of Laurelcrest Street/West Drive, be designated as Regional Road 107.

2. That Highway 24 (also known as Charleston Sideroad), from Highway 10 to the Peel/Wellington boundary, be designated as Regional Road 24.

3. That Highway 50, from Regional Road 15 (also known as Steeles Avenue) to Highway 9, excluding the section in Bolton from Wilton Drive/Allan Drive to the north limits of Bolton, be designated as Regional Road 50.

4. That Highway 136 (also known as Main Street, Queen Street East, Porterfield Road), from Highway 24 to the Peel/Dufferin Boundary, be designated as Regional Road 136.

5. That Regional Road 11 (also known as Charleston Sideroad), from Regional Road 7 (Airport Road) to Highway 10, be re-designated as Regional Road 24.
