WHEREAS Section 17 of The Regional Municipalities Act R.S.O. 1990, c. R.8 states that the Regional Council shall appoint a Treasurer;

AND WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Corporation has by resolution adopted on 10th October, 2002 authorized the approval of the appointment of a Treasurer and Commissioner of Finance;

NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Regional Corporation hereby enacts as follows:

1. That the officer appointed Treasurer and Commissioner of Finance shall have those duties set out in The Regional Municipalities Act and shall be the Treasurer of the Regional Corporation for the purpose of all relevant statutes.

2. That subject to the provisions of the Chief Administrative Officer's By-law 4-74, as amended, the Treasurer and Commissioner of Finance shall have and perform on behalf of the Regional Corporation all of the customary duties of a municipal treasurer insofar as the same apply to the Regional Corporation and shall carry out any other function as the Council or the Chief Administrative Officer may from time to time assign.

3. That Daniel J. Labrecque shall be and is hereby appointed Treasurer and Commissioner of Finance of The Regional Municipality of Peel effective October 10, 2002.

4. That By-law 8-95 of the Regional Corporation is hereby repealed.
