THE REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY OF PEEL
 
BY-LAW NUMBER 66-2002
 
A by-law to amend By-law 43-2002 titled the "Fees By-law".


WHEREAS By-law 43-2002 was enacted on 11th July, 2002 by the Council of the Regional Corporation to impose fees and charges for services and activities provided or done by or on behalf of the Regional Corporation.

NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Regional Corporation enacts as follows:

1. Schedule "A" is deleted and replaced with an amended Schedule "A" as attached hereto.

2. Subsection 4(1) is deleted and replaced with the following:

Interest at the rate of 1.50% per month, compounded monthly, being the equivalent of 19.56% per annum, shall be payable on the outstanding balance of any account remaining unpaid after 30 days after it becomes payable.

3. Subsection 5(2) is deleted and replaced with the following:

Any manager, supervisor, physician, registered nurse or public health nurse employed by or on behalf of the Healthy Sexuality Program is authorized to exempt, in whole or in part, any person from the Healthy Sexuality Clinic Fee, being Fee Numbers 1-9, Schedule 4, Division 4, Appendix "A" where he or she is of the opinion that the payment of such fee may cause undue economic hardship to the person requiring the service in question.

4. Despite the amendment of By-law 43-2002 herein, the tariffs of fees set out in By-law 43-2002 on the day immediately prior to the day this by-law comes into effect shall continue to apply to fees which became payable prior to the date upon which this by-law comes into effect.

5. Subject to section 6, this By-law takes effect on December 31, 2002.

6. The water rate, being Fee Number 30, Schedule 7, Division 2, Appendix "A" and Fee Number 17, Schedule 3, Division 1, shall come into effect and apply to all water accounts rendered on or after 1st April, 2003.
