WHEREAS Section 15 of the Police Services Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chap. P. 15, as amended, authorizes the appointment of persons to enforce the by-laws of the Regional Municipality, who shall be peace officers for the purposes of enforcing the by-laws of the Regional Municipality;

AND WHEREAS on October 25, 2001, the Council of the Regional Corporation enacted By-law 49-2001 appointing By-law Enforcement Officers to enforce By-laws of the Corporation of the Regional Municipality of Peel;

AND WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Corporation has by resolution on the 25th day of October, 2001 delegated authority to the Commissioner of Public Works to name employees as By-law Enforcement Officers and present amending by-laws accordingly;

AND WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Corporation has by resolution adopted on the 6th of March, 2003 authorized a by-law to amend By-law 49-2001, titled "A by-law to appoint By-law Enforcement Officers to enforce By-laws of the Corporation of the Regional Municipality of Peel";

NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Regional Corporation enacts as follows:

1. That Section 1 - Public Works, Waste Management in Schedule A of By-law 49-2001 is deleted and replaced with an amended Section 1 - Public Works, Waste Management, as attached hereto.
