BY-LAW NUMBER 21-2003 |
A by-law to change the name of part of Bovaird Drive and Regional Road 107 between Airport Road and the westerly boundary of the Region of Peel to be renamed as Bovaird Drive East and Bovaird Drive West, in the City of Brampton. |
WHEREAS section 28(1) of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, provides that the Council of the Regional Corporation has all the powers conferred and is subject to all the liabilities imposed by the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, in respect of the roads in the Regional Road System;
AND WHEREAS Bovaird Drive East and Bovaird Drive West forms part of the Regional Road System;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Corporation has by Resolution 2002-297 on the 7th of March, 2002, authorized the enactment of a by-law to change the name of that section of Bovaird Drive and Regional Road 107, to Bovaird Drive East and Bovaird Drive West, pursuant to Section 47 of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended;
AND WHEREAS pursuant to Section 47 of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, notice of the proposed road name change was given by newspaper notice for four consecutive weeks commencing on February 26, 2003 and by direct mail to all property owners abutting Regional Road 107;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Regional Corporation enacts as follows:
1. That the section of Bovaird Drive and Regional Road 107, between Hurontario Street and the westerly boundary of the Region of Peel and which is more specifically described in Schedule A attached hereto, being part of the Regional road system, be renamed Bovaird Drive West, in the City of Brampton.
2. That the section of Bovaird Drive and Regional Road 107, between Hurontario Street and Airport Road and which is more specifically described in Schedule A attached hereto, being part of the Regional road system, be renamed Bovaird Drive East, in the City of Brampton.
