THE REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY OF PEEL
 
BY-LAW NUMBER 2-2008
 

A by-law to amend By-law 16-2007 titled the “Sewer Surcharge Rate and Sewer Waste Disposal Charge By-law, 2007”.

 

WHEREAS the Council of The Regional Municipality of Peel (“Regional Corporation”), on February 15, 2007 enacted By-law 16-2007 to establish the qualitative sanitary sewer surcharge rate and sewer waste disposal charge in accordance with Schedule A attached thereto;

AND WHEREAS the Council of the Regional Corporation has by resolution adopted on January 24, 2008, authorized the enactment of the by-law herein to amend By-law 16-2007;

NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Regional Corporation enacts as follows:

  1. By-law 16-2007 is amended by deleting Schedule A and replacing it with the Schedule A attached hereto.

  2. Despite this amendment, the qualitative sewer surcharge rate and sewer waste disposal charge set out in Schedule A to By-law 16-2007, on the day immediately prior to the day this by-law comes into effect, shall continue to apply to the rates and charges which became payable prior to the date upon which this by-law comes into effect.

  3. By-law 16-2007 is further amended by deleting paragraph 5 and replacing it with the following paragraph:

      5. This By-law may be referred to as the “Sewer Surcharge Rate and Sewer Waste Disposal Charge By-law”.


    This By-law may be referred to as the “Sewer Surcharge Rate and Sewer Waste Disposal Charge By-law”.

  4. This by-law takes effect on the day that it is passed.

SCHEDULE A
to By-law Number 2-2008

Sewer Surcharge Rate and Sewer Waste Disposal Charge

The rates set out below are effective for all accounts rendered on or after the day this by-law comes into effect.

  1. Qualitative Sanitary Sewer Surcharge Rate: $235.00 per 1,000 cubic meters.
  2. Sewer Waste Disposal Charge: $13.00 per 1,000 gallons.
