RECOMMENDATION GC-150-2002:
That electricity generated by the Britannia Landfill Gas Utilization Facility, which was previously approved by Council Resolution 2001-907, be used at the Region of Peel's Lakeview Wastewater Treatment Plant;
And further, that approval be given to purchase the power from Integrated Gas Recovery Services at a fixed price of $65.55 per megawatt hour for the first five years and thereafter annually adjusted according to the Consumer Price Index for each of the additional 15 years.

RECOMMENDATION GC-151-2002:
That the Regional Clerk, Bonnie Zeran, be thanked for her 14 years dedicated service to the Region of Peel and that she receive the best wishes of Regional Council upon her retirement effective on December 31, 2002;
And further, that a Selection Committee composed of three members of Regional Council, the Chief Administrative Officer and the Commissioner of Corporate Services and Regional Solicitor be struck to select the next Regional Clerk.
MA-A2. Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2001
RECOMMENDATION GC-152-2002:
That the implementation strategy proposed in the report of the Commissioner of Corporate Services and Regional Solicitor, and the Commissioner of Social Services, dated, August 8, 2002, titled "Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2001", be endorsed;
And further, that a copy of the subject report be provided to the Honourable Carl DeFaria, Minister of Citizenship for the Province of Ontario for his information as to how the Region of Peel is actively engaged in the implementation of the Ontarians with Disabilities Act (the "Act") generally and in establishing an Accessibility Advisory Committee in particular, both of which processes will be advanced but not completed prior to the September 30, 2002 coming into force of parts of the Act affecting the Region of Peel;
And further, that a copy of the subject report and related Council resolution be provided to the Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) and the Clerks of the City of Mississauga, City of Brampton, and the Town of Caledon, for their information.
MA-A3. Peterborough Flood Relief Committee Fundraising Campaign
RECOMMENDATION GC-153-2002:
That the Peterborough Flood Relief Committee's request for donations for relief to residents of the City of Peterborough affected by their record breaking rainfall in June of 2002 be communicated to the residents of the Region of Peel through local media;
And further, that Peel residents be advised of methods of contributing to the Peterborough Flood Relief Committee Fundraising Campaign on an individual basis.

MA-B1. 2003 Regional Council and Committee Meeting Schedule
RECOMMENDATION GC-154-2002:
That the 2003 Regional Council and Committee meeting schedule, attached as Appendix 1 to the report of the Commissioner of Corporate Services and Regional Solicitor, dated August 26, 2002, titled "2003 Regional Council and Committee Meeting Schedule", be approved;
And further, that the Clerk's Offices at the area municipalities be contacted to alleviate scheduling conflicts with the proposed schedule;
And further, that the 2003 Inaugural meeting dates be included in the 2003 Regional Council and Committee Meeting Schedule.

That The Regional Municipality of Peel as Landlord enter into a Lease Renewal Agreement dated the 9th day of May, 2002 with Pace Savings and Credit Union Limited as Tenant for approximately 2,008 square feet (186.54 square metres) within the premises located at 10 Peel Centre Dr., City of Brampton, as outlined in the report of the Commissioner of Housing and Property and General Manager, Peel Living, dated August 13, 2002, titled "Proposed Lease Renewal Agreement Between the Regional Municipality of Peel and Pace Savings and Credit Union Limited for Space at 10 Peel Centre Dr., City of Brampton - Ward 8";
And further, that all revenue and expenses will be recognized under Cost Centre NH00033 - 10 Peel Centre External Space - Police Services Board and Pace Credit Union.
HO-B2. Proposed Amendment to a Reciprocal License Agreement between the Greater Toronto Transit Authority (GO Transit) and the Regional Municipality of Peel to Permit the City of Mississauga Use of a Bus Loop at the Meadowvale Water Tower Site - City of Mississauga, Ward 9
RECOMMENDATION GC-157-2002:
That The Regional Municipality of Peel enter into an Amended Reciprocal License Agreement with the Greater Toronto Transit Authority (GO Transit) and the City of Mississauga to permit the City of Mississauga to use the GO Transit bus loop located on the Meadowvale Water Tower site;
And further, that the Consent to Enter Agreement dated August 14, 2002 between the Greater Toronto Transit Authority (GO Transit), the Corporation of the City of Mississauga, and the Regional Municipality of Peel be approved.

HS-A1. Mandatory Use of Booster Seats for Children Aged 4-8 Years
RECOMMENDATION GC-158-2002:
That Regional Council request the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) to amend the Highway Traffic Act to mandate that children 18kg (40lbs) to 27kg (60 lbs) be required to use booster seats when travelling in motorized vehicles.

HS-B1. World Breastfeeding Week 2002 - October 1 to 7, 2002
RECOMMENDATION GC-159-2002:
That the week of October 1 to 7, 2002 be proclaimed "World Breastfeeding Week" in the Regional Municipality of Peel.
HS-B2. Integrated Services for Children Information System's (ISCIS) Privacy Impact Assessment
RECOMMENDATION GC-160-2002:
That Regional Council confirm that the recommendations outlined in the Integrated Services For Children Information System - Healthy Babies Healthy Children (ISCIS-HBHC) Release 2.0 Privacy Impact Assessment attached as Appendix 1 to the report of the Commissioner of Health and Medical Officer of Health, dated August 22, 2002, titled "Integrated Services for Children Information System's (ISCIS) Privacy Impact Assessment" have been reviewed;
And further, that Regional Council confirm that a plan to address the recommendations outlined in the ISCIS-HBHC Release 2.0 Privacy Impact Assessment is being implemented.
