Water

Peel Public Health has a variety of programs to ensure that water is safe for swimming and that well water is safe to drink:

  • Our inspectors test water from beaches and recreational water facilities
  • You can check beach test results online during the summer
  • Our inspectors work with swimming pool operators and spa operators to ensure that they keep the water quality at a safe level, according to the Ontario Public Pools Regulation
  • Bring in a sample of your well water to have it checked for bacterial contaminants
