Parenting Beyond the First Year
Community Resources for Families |
Raising children is one of the most challenging roles we undertake. More often than not, it is with the least amount of advance preparation or practice. Babies do not come with ready-to-assemble instructions or automatic pilot to guide us. Yet we will spend the rest of our lives in the parenting role. We want our children to have the best chance possible to grow into healthy, well-adjusted, responsible young adults. Some things are guaranteed! There will always be someone around to tell you how to help your child (whether it works or not). As soon as you think you've got it, your child will switch tracks on you, sending you into new territory. Moms and Dads do things differently. Both are equally important to their child's wellbeing. If one isn't in the picture, choosing role models for your child can make a big difference. Parenting often feels like a roller coaster ride. If thoughts like these flash by you...
Join us for a fun, sometimes scary, and often exhilarating ride. You'll pick up some tips and tools to make your ride smoother. |
