Holiday hours

Region of Peel offices and non-emergency services will be closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday on Monday, October 12 and will reopen Tuesday, October 13.

The following services are affected by the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Access Peel counters will be closed on Monday, October 12. Three Access Peel counters will reopen on Tuesday, October 13.

Waste collection Brampton, Mississauga, Caledon

Residents are advised that there will be no waste collection on Monday, October 12 due to the holiday. Waste collection will be one day later that week. Check your collection calendar to find your pickup day or sign up to receive free waste collection reminders.

Community Recycling Centres

All Community Recycling Centres will be closed on Monday, October 12 and will reopen on Tuesday, October 13.

TransHelp

Specific trips for Monday, October 12 (Thanksgiving Day) and Tuesday, October 13 must be booked by 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 11.

Flexible trips will not be accommodated after 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 11 or any time of day on Monday, October 12.

On Monday, October 12 (Thanksgiving Day):

  • TransHelp will operate from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m.
  • The TransHelp office will be closed, with regular hours resuming on Tuesday, September 8.

The Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) is temporarily closed due to COVID-19. However, families can participate virtually in over 100+ PAMA@Home online activities and tour four fantastic virtual exhibitions including the newest project Art Voice: Expressions of Youth in Peel.
