The Region of Peel Offers Free Confidential Paper Shredding Events

BRAMPTON, ON (April 16, 2018) – The Region of Peel is offering residents free confidential paper shredding at special events at three of its Community Recycling Centres (CRCs) this spring.
Peel is also accepting non-perishable food donations at the events in order to support local food banks.

"This is an excellent chance for Peel's residents to dispose of confidential papers safely and securely when they are dropping off other items to their local CRCs," says Dwayne Cromwell, Peel's Supervisor Remediation and Environmental Solutions.

esidents can take unbound paper – such as taxes, bills, income statements and personal information – to the three confidential paper shredding events, which will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on:

Regular fees apply to all other items.

There will be no cart exchanges for garbage, recycling or organics carts at any of these events.
