Peel Paramedics warn public of missing narcotics

Brampton, ON (June 15, 2020) – Peel Paramedics are asking the public's help in locating a narcotics pouch that went missing from one of their ambulances on June 13 during the day.

The paramedic crew was working in Caledon when the black locked zippered pouch (see images) containing controlled narcotics went missing. Peel Paramedics are concerned for the public's safety as these drugs can be extremely dangerous and even fatal if taken without medical supervision.

Peel Paramedics carry medical supplies including narcotics to treat patients during medical emergencies.

Peel Regional Paramedic Services has contacted Peel Police and the OPP, and an investigation has been launched.

If a member of the public finds the missing pouch, they are asked to refrain from opening it and to immediately call Peel Police at 905-453-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-222-TIPS (8477).

Peel Regional Paramedics Services (PRPS) responds to more than 136, 000 emergency medical calls per year. For more information about Peel Regional Paramedic Services, visit https://peelregion.ca/paramedics.
