Holiday Season Service and Delivery in the Region of Peel

BRAMPTON, ON (Dec. 13, 2021) – Peel Region offices and some non-emergency services will be closed for the holidays from Monday, December 27, 2021, to Monday, January 3, 2022.

The following non-emergency services are closed and will reopen on January 4, 2022:

The following non-emergency service is closed from December 25 to 28, 2021, and January 1 to 3, 2022 but will remain open from December 29 to 31, 2021 and reopen for regular service on January 4, 2022.

Needle Exchange Program

The Needle Exchange Program (NEP) will be closed on December 25 and 26, 2021 and January 1 to 3, 2022. The NEP will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on December 24 and 31, 2021 and will resume regular hours of operations from December 27 to 31, 2021 and again on January 4, 2022.

Vaccination Clinics

The Region is offering vaccines to residents five and older at Peel public health clinics, community, mobile, and school-based clinics, as well as places of worship, physicians’ offices, and primary care centres.

Emergency shelter, food, medication, or personal support

For urgent homelessness supports, including food, supplies, referrals, and shelter, call the Street Helpline 24/7 at 1-877-848-8481. For information on emergency shelter, visit the emergency shelter web page or call 905-450-1996.

TransHelp

All trips for December 25, 26 and 27 must be booked by 6 p.m. on Friday, December 24.

All trips for January 1 and 2 must be booked by 6 p.m. on Friday, December 31.

On December 25 (Christmas Day), December 26 (Boxing Day) and January 1, 2022 (New Year’s Day):

On December 24 and 31, the call centre will close at 10 p.m.

The TransHelp office will be closed between December 25 and January 1 and will reopen on January 3, 2022.

Brampton Transit or MiWay

Visit Brampton Transit and MiWay for holiday schedules.

Waste collection Brampton, Mississauga, Caledon

There will be no change to your waste collection schedule due to the upcoming holiday season. Check your collection calendar to know your collection date.

All Community Recycling Centres (CRCs) will be closed on December 25 and 26, 2021 and January 1, 2022. CRCs will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on December 24 and 31, 2021, and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from December 27 to 31, 2021. Bolton Community Recycling Centre will be closed on December 27, 2021. Check http://www.peelregion.ca/waste/ for CRC locations and hours.

Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) is temporarily closed to the public until early 2022 to conduct upgrades to the facility but active online! Visit pama.peelregion.ca and take a tour of one of their virtual exhibitions and participate in online Winter Break activities and events for the whole family.
