Join PAMA online this December for Home for the Holidays

Brampton, ON. (December 2, 2021) – Explore art, culture and history from home with easy, fun-filled activities over the Winter Break with Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA)! Pick up a holiday card making art kit for just $6. Join us for online family workshops and download our Family Fun Activity and free Winter Break activity book to keep the whole family entertained.

Holiday Card Making Art Kit
Available for pick up at PAMA, December 1 to 23

Get in the holiday spirit and create your own cards inspired by the winter season. Register for a kit that includes instructions, interesting facts from the PAMA collection and all the materials you need to create holiday cards for someone special.

Though PAMA is currently closed to visitors, the front desk will be available for kit pick-ups only. Kits can be picked up at the PAMA Art Gallery Access Peel Desk located at 9 Wellington St. E, between 9 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Monday to Friday (weekdays) from December 1 to 23.

Recommended for ages 6+. Quantities are limited, so reserve your kit soon. Kit sales close on December 23. Public: $6.00, Member: $5.00. 1 kit per registration. Purchase today.

Winter Wonderland Landscape Painting Workshop
Tuesday, December 21, 2 to 3 p.m.

Join PAMA and local artist Sony Johny for an acrylic on canvas workshop designed for kids! You will be guided in creating your own winter themed painting while gaining inspiration from PAMA collections and exhibitions.   This virtual workshop does not include supplies, but a list is provided. Recommended for ages 8 - 12. $5 per family, PAMA members are free.

Science Meets Art! with Scientists in School
Thursday December 23, 2 to 3 p.m.

Discover what happens when science meets art! Explore perception as you use shadows, colour, motion, and light to create art from science. You’ll make a puppet, a spinning top and a kaleidoscope, as well as design your own galaxy. 
Registration includes your own mini-science kit filled with creative and hands-on materials for you to keep. Kits can be picked up at the PAMA Art Gallery Access Peel Desk located at 9 Wellington St. E, between 9 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Monday to Friday (weekdays) from December 1 to 22. PAMA is currently closed to visitors but the front desk will be available for kit pick-ups only.
Recommended for ages 4 to 12 (children under 6 may require the assistance of an adult). Public: $10, Member: $8.50. Registration closes on December 22 (1 kit per registration).

PAMA is temporarily closed due to an airflow upgrade construction project but still offering online programs. PAMA is a place to explore and learn about Peel Region’s culture and heritage, as well as use conversation, questions and stories to help make new and fascinating connections to the surrounding community. Throughout the year, PAMA offers a variety of workshops and programs for all ages, families and adults. With so many different programs to choose from, PAMA has something for everyone.
