Peel Region revises Section 22 Orders for individuals and businesses
Mississauga, ON (October 14, 2021) – Peel Region is further revising its Section 22 Orders relating to individuals and workplaces with COVID-19 cases.
Updates to the Class Section 22 Order impacting individuals, which was issued under the Ontario Health Protection and Promotion Act (HPPA), include:
- Updates to the definition of ‘close contact’ in line with current provincial guidance
- Updates to guidance for those who are fully vaccinated or who have had recent COVID-19 infections
- Updates to reflect direction for unvaccinated household members of close contacts to stay home from school or child care
Updates to the Class Section 22 Order impacting workplaces, which was issued under the Ontario Health Protection and Promotion Act (HPPA), include:
- Removal of reference to actions that were needed under Grey/Lockdown since progressing to Step 3 of reopening
- Updates to the definition of ‘close contact’ in line with current provincial guidance
- Updates to the guidance for those who are fully vaccinated or who have had recent COVID-19 infections
These Class Orders were re-issued pursuant to section 22 (5.01) of the Health Protection and Promotion Act, RSO 1990, c H.7. For more information, read the COVID-19 class order fact sheet.
