Traffic impacts: watermain repair reduces lanes on Castlemore Road in Brampton

Brampton, ON. (February 2, 2022) – The Region of Peel is starting phase 2 of an emergency watermain repair on Castlemore Road between Gardenbrooke Trail and Drummondville Drive. Phase two requires the closure of both west bound lanes. Traffic will be rerouted to a single lane for west bound traffic only (no impacts to east bound lanes). As a major east-west arterial road in Brampton, the lane reduction will reduce travel times, particularly in the morning and afternoon rush hour. Motorists may wish to avoid the area and take alternate routes.

The repair will take up to three weeks to complete. Average construction noise is expected. There will be no impact to drinking water for the community.

Updates on the repair work will be made on Twitter. Follow @peelpublicworks for updated information.
