Traffic impacts: watermain repair reduces lanes on Dixie Road north of Bloor Street in Mississauga

Brampton, ON. (April 20, 2022) – The Region of Peel will be starting emergency watermain repairs on Monday, April 25 on Dixie Road north of Bloor Street. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dixie Road will be reduced to a single lane north and southbound. At all other times north and southbound Dixie Road will be reduced to two lanes in each direction.

As a major north-south arterial road in Mississauga, the lane reductions will increase travel times. Motorists may wish to avoid the area and take alternate routes.

The repairs are expected to be completed by Friday, June 24. Average construction noise is expected. There will be no impact to drinking water for the community. Follow @peelpublicworks for information and updates.
