Good Friday Holiday Service Hours at the Region of Peel

Brampton, ON. (April 7, 2022) – Region of Peel offices and non-emergency services will be closed for the Good Friday holiday on Friday, April 15, 2022.

The following non-emergency services are closed and will reopen on Monday, April 18, 2022:

Vaccination clinics

Vaccination clinics continue to be open.

Routine school immunizations available for students grades 7 to 12

Peel Public Health is offering routine school immunizations to students from grades 7 to 12. Students or parents and legal guardians can check if their child has already received their routine school immunizations through the Immunize Connect Ontario (ICON) website or by asking their primary care provider.

By getting these vaccines, students will be protected against serious diseases, including preventing cancer later in life.

Early Years and Child Care Services

Child Care Subsidy units will be closed on April 18 (Easter Monday) and will reopen on Tuesday, April 19.

Ontario Works in Peel

Ontario Works will be closed on Friday, April 15 (Good Friday) and Monday, April 18 (Easter Monday) and will reopen on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

Emergency shelter, food, medication, or personal support

For urgent homelessness supports, including food, supplies, referrals, and shelter, call the Street Helpline 24/7 at 1-877-848-8481. For information on emergency shelter, visit the emergency shelter web page or call 905-450-1996.

Peel Living Maintenance Requests

For Peel Living maintenance requests, contact the 24-hour request line at 905-790-7335.

TransHelp

All trips for Friday, April 15, and Saturday, April 16 must be booked by 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 14.

Public Transit

Visit Brampton Transit and Mississauga Transit for holiday schedules.

Waste collection Brampton, Mississauga, Caledon

Waste collection will not be affected on Friday, April 15. Check your collection calendar to find your pick up day or sign up to receive free waste collection reminders. Waste Collection will occur on Monday, April 18 (Easter Monday) as scheduled.

All Community Recycling Centres will be closed Good Friday, Easter Sunday, and Easter Monday, and will return to regular schedule on Tuesday, April 19.

Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA)

has re-opened its Art Gallery and Courthouse with limited April hours with free admission. They will be closed on Friday, April 15 but will be open on Monday, April 18 with a special Spring Suncatchers Family Fun drop-in activity from 10:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Learn more.
