Help Select the Winners of the Expressions Art Competition

Brampton, ON. (June 20, 2022) – Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) and Region of Peel Public Health have partnered to create the Expressions Art Competition inviting artists of all skill levels in Peel Region to share their COVID-19 experiences through art. There is an adult and youth category with exciting prizes to be won!

Now we ask the public to help select the winners in each category.

Voting will conclude on July 4 at 11:59 p.m. and the top three winners will be announced on July 5 via social media.

Between May 16 - June 5, we received an outstanding 300 entries from artists across Peel Region. The breadth and talent of artists across Peel Region was just tremendous and we thank everyone who took the time to submit their work!

From June 8 - 16, a panel of judges including members from the Friend of PAMA Advisory Board, PAMA's Curatorial Team, ACCIDA, Beaux Arts Brampton, Visual Arts Mississauga, representatives from the Caledon artist community and InSauga.com looked at all the entries in each category and voted and came to a consensus on the top 10 submissions.

The top three winning artworks will be displayed virtually on the PAMA website, at Region of Peel offices at 10 Peel Centre Drive and 7120 Hurontario St., as well as at Bramalea City Centre mall in Brampton and Erin Mills Town Centre mall in Mississauga.

PAMA is a place to explore and learn about Peel Region's culture and heritage, as well as use conversation, questions and stories to help make new and fascinating connections to the surrounding community. Throughout the year, PAMA offers a variety of workshops and programs for all ages, families and adults. With so many different programs to choose from, PAMA has something for everyone.
