National Day for Truth and Reconciliation service hours at the Region of Peel

Brampton, ON - (Sep. 23, 2022) – Region of Peel offices and non-emergency services will be closed in observance of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Friday, September 30, 2022.

The following non-emergency services are closed and will reopen on Monday, October 3, 2022:  

Vaccination Clinics
Vaccination clinics continue to be open. To book your appointment, visit: COVID-19 vaccine.

Human Services 

Early Years and Child Care Services
Child Care Subsidy units will be closed on Friday, September 30 (National Day for Truth and Reconciliation) and will reopen on Monday, October 3.

Ontario Works in Peel 
Ontario Works will be closed on Friday, September 30 (National Day for Truth and Reconciliation) and will reopen on Monday, October 3. Emergency shelter, food, medication, or personal supportFor urgent homelessness supports, including food, supplies, referrals, and shelter, call the Street Helpline 24/7 at 1-877-848-8481. Peel Living Maintenance Requests
For Peel Living maintenance requests, contact the 24-hour request line at 905-790-7335.

TransHelp
All trips for Friday, September 30 must be booked by 6 p.m. on Thursday, September 29.

Public Transit  
Visit Brampton Transit and Mississauga Transit for holiday schedules.

Waste collection Brampton, Mississauga, Caledon
Waste collection will not be affected on Friday, September 30. Check your collection calendar to find your pickup day or sign up to receive free waste collection reminders. All Community Recycling Centres are closed Friday, September 30 and return to their regular schedules on Saturday, October 1.

Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA)  
Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) has re-opened its Art Gallery and Courthouse with free admission. They will be closed on Friday, September 30 but will reopen on Saturday, October 1. Learn more.
