Long Range Transportation Plan 2019
Recommended master plan
The Region of Peel has prepared a Long Range Transportation in accordance with Phases 1 and 2 of the Municipal Class Environment Assessment, which is an approved process under the Environmental Assessment Act, 1990.
The Long Range Transportation Plan is a plan that identifies transportation planning and servicing needs to support population and employment growth in the Region of Peel to the year 2041. The Long Range Transportation Plan prioritizes Region-wide strategies that focus on shifting our approach from primarily widening roadways to a balanced transportation system, which encompasses a 50% sustainable mode share by 2041.
The lands to which the LRTP update applies is the entire Region of Peel. On this basis, no key map has been provided with this notice.
Public review for comments
The Long Range Transportation Plan is available for a 30-day review period, starting October 10, 2019 and ending November 7, 2019, in accordance with the requirements of the Municipal Engineers Association Class EA process. Comments must be received by November 7, 2019 to become part of the public record for this study.
Hard copies of the Long Range Transportation Plan are available for public review at the following location on Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm:
