Notice of temporary road closure
Watermain Valve Replacement and Improvement. Revus Avenue, Project 11-1345 P.
The Region of Peel will be working in your neighborhood to replace the watermain valve on Revus Avenue. This work is required to maintain and improve the existing water system.
At this stage in the project, we need to remove and replace the existing valve chamber next to 391 Revus Avenue, near the Lakeshore West rail tracks.
Traffic impacts
Revus Avenue will be closed to all through traffic from Marf Avenue to the business complex located at 360 Revus Ave. This temporary road closure is expected to occur daily from Tuesday February 22nd until Friday March 4th, 2022. This closure will only take place during working hours, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays to Fridays. During this time, a detour route will be clearly marked with road signs. Please see the attached map for the detour route. Residents who live on the street will have access to their homes. Access to businesses will also be maintained. Emergency service vehicles and school buses will be permitted to cross through the closure and will be guided by our contractor onsite. No other through traffic will be allowed, and there will be no on-street parking. This road closure may cause traffic delays. We ask for your patience and will try to minimize any delays.
