Watermain construction

South Sheridan Way from Southdown Road to Tridom Court, Project 13-1347H2

Background

The Region of Peel is starting water system improvements in your neighbourhood. These improvements will replace aging infrastructure and increase the level of service of the water supply in south west Mississauga.

Improvements include replacement of residential supply watermains on the street, replacement of larger water transmission mains, and pressure increases for some residents.

Where

The Region will be constructing two watermains on South Sheridan Way from Southdown Road to Indian Grove, and on Indian Grove from South Sheridan Way to Indian Road. Some work will also take place on Pierre Place, Cottonwood Court and on Indian Road at Crescent Road.

When

Work will be completed under two separate contracts. See enclosed map.

Contract 1 on Indian Grove from South Sheridan Way to Indian Road will be completed from February 2021 to Spring 2022.

Contract 2 on South Sheridan Way from Southdown Road to Indian Grove, Pierre Place, Cottonwood Court and Indian Road at Crescent Road will be completed from Spring 2022 to Fall 2023.

Online Public Information Centre

Information on this project is available and the online Public Engagement project boards are available.

Construction impacts

Planned construction will cause traffic impacts on Indian Grove and South Sheridan Way. Indian Grove will be open to local traffic only from February to December 2021.

The existing sidewalk on Indian Grove will be closed for watermain construction. A temporary sidewalk will be provided on the opposite side of the road.

Driveway access will be coordinated with residents prior to construction crossing driveways.

We are working hard to minimize the impacts to driveways and landscape features. Any disturbed features will be restored to match existing conditions.
