Sanitary sewer replacement and improvement
Cawthra Road at Schomberg Avenue. Project 18-2252 G
The Region of Peel has been working in your neighborhood to replace the aging sanitary sewer on Cawthra Road and Schomberg Avenue. This work is required to maintain and improve wastewater services.
At this stage in the project, the Region of Peel will be completing final sanitary sewer connections and repairing the road where it was disturbed by our recent watermain and sanitary sewer construction. Temporary lane reductions will be required to complete this work.
Traffic impacts
- Southbound Cawthra Road will be reduced to one lane at Schomberg Avenue. These lane reductions are expected to occur daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, November 7 to Friday, November 11, 2022. Please expect delays and choose alternate routes if possible.
- This work will not affect the two northbound lanes of Cawthra Road.
- To provide local access to 3434 Cawthra Road and Hyacinthe Boulevard, traffic may be directed by flaggers.
These impacts may cause traffic delays. We ask for your patience and will try to minimize any delays.
