Watermain condition assessment

What we are doing
The Region of Peel will be inspecting the condition of watermain servicing your neighbourhood to ensure its continued reliability. This inspection will provide the Region with information on whether existing watermains need to be rehabilitated or replaced.
Your water will be turned off on Tuesday, 4th June between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. while we do the work. We ask you not to use water during this time.
Once the work is completed, we will thoroughly flush the watermain. When we turn the water back on, air in the pipes may make the water cloudy or discolored and your plumbing may vibrate or make noise. The cloudiness is due to sediments in the pipelines and is not harmful or hazardous. If this happens, you can remove the air by briefly turning on your cold taps from the lowest to the highest faucet in the building (that is starting in the basement/ first floor and finishing on the top floor). Flush the toilets as well. Run the water until it is clear, and any vibration has stopped. This should take only 10 to 30 seconds.

Our work is scheduled to begin on June 4th at 9 a.m. If the weather is bad or if a problem arises, we will reschedule the work and will let you know the date and time.
