Concrete protective lining of the West Trunk Sewer
Notice of upcoming night work from Oct 2022 to March 2023. Project #19-2205.
The Region of Peel has been working in your neighborhood to rehabilitate the sanitary sewer system. This work is necessary to continue providing high quality wastewater services.
This work includes:
- Lining the West Trunk Sewer along Erin Mills Parkway, between Erin Centre Boulevard and Dundas Street West,
- Constructing a new maintenance hole (commonly referred to as a manhole) at Erin Mills Parkway and Eglinton Avenue West.
Construction work will take place within the construction compounds located at:
- The east side of Erin Mills Parkway, just north of Eglinton Avenue West,
- The southwest corner of Erin Mills Parkway and Rogers Road within the existing Dunn Park,
- The northeast corner of Erin Mills Parkway and Dundas Street West.
All construction activities will take place within the construction compounds set up at the above locations.
Noise Bylaw Exemption
The City of Mississauga, under the Noise Bylaw, is allowing the construction work to be carried out by our contractor continuously, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This 24/7 work will begin on October 31, 2022 and it is anticipated to be completed by March 31, 2023. Continuous operations reduce the amount of time your area is under construction, and the related impacts to the community. During this time, we do not anticipate there to be significant noise. Efforts will be made to reduce impacts to local residents by restricting the delivery and removal of materials to the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
