Notice of resceduled road paving

Watermain replacement and improvement

Martlen Crescent, Remea Court, Gayling Gardens and Taffey Crescent. Project #20-1310 I-3.

The Region of Peel will be repairing the road where it was disturbed by our recent watermain construction.

Schedule

Due to unforeseen challenges and delays the road paving works have been delayed. We expect paving activities to now take place on Martlen Crescent, Remea Court, Gayling Gardens and Taffey Crescent between Wednesday August 3rd and Tuesday August 16th, weather permitting.

Below is a detailed breakdown of the paving activities:

  1. Paving on Martlen Crescent from Wednesday August 3rd to Friday August 5th.
  2. Paving on Remea Court from Thursday August 4th to Friday August 5th.
  3. Paving on Gayling Gardens & Taffey Crescent (north leg) from Monday August 8th to Thursday August 11th.
  4. Paving on Taffey Crescent (south leg) from Thursday August 10th to Tuesday August 16th.

Regular working hours will be between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday to Friday.

We will provide more detailed timelines through email. Receive these timely updates by signing up for e-notices at peelregion.ca/construction.

Driveway access

You may not have access to your driveway for a short time as the paving operation crosses your driveway.

Road access

Work will be phased to minimize traffic disruption in the area.

Parking

Please do not park on the street from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the above dates. Please ensure the road is cleared of vehicles (and any type of materials) at these times.

Before paving operations, you will be asked to park outside the active work area. To provide an alternate parking location, we have arranged for a street parking enforcement exemption from the City of Mississauga. This exemption is valid until August 31st, 2022. Please note that all other parking laws remain in place, including proper clearance from hydrants and stop signs.

Safety during construction

Construction zones require extra caution to keep everyone safe – pedestrians, cyclists, drivers, and construction workers. When driving, walking, or biking through the construction area, please be aware of your surroundings, watch for construction crews and other road users, slow down, account for delays, and consider other routes if possible.
