Wastewater capacity improvements in central Mississauga

Schedule 'C' Class Environmental Assessment

The study

The Central Mississauga area will experience significant growth over the next 20 + years, specifically, within the Mississauga City Centre, Hurontario and Dundas Corridor. The current sewer system does not have available capacity for this increased growth. That's why the Region is doing an Environmental Assessment (EA) to study how to expand the capacity of the Central Mississauga Wastewater System.

Your input is important

The study will take approximately two years to complete. Two Public Information Centres (PICs) will be held to present the findings of the EA and to provide an opportunity to give feedback to the project team. The first PIC was held March 10, 2020. The second PIC will be held virtually from June 22, 2021, to July 6, 2021.

Public Information Centre #2

A second PIC is being held from June 22 to July 6, 2021 to provide an overview of the preliminary preferred sewer routes and shaft locations. The Region of Peel is seeking public and stakeholder input. All questions, comments and feedback will be posted at the end of July.
