Brampton’s local Home Instead Senior Care office has partnered with retailers and community organizations to ensure isolated seniors receive gifts and companionship this holiday season through the Be a Santa to a Senior program.
Beginning on November 14th, local community residents can participate in the Be a Santa to a Senior program by picking up an ornament from Christmas trees set up at Brampton Safe City and Shoppers Home Health. The ornament will include the first name of a senior and their requested gift. Local residents are encouraged to take an ornament, buy the items listed and return them unwrapped to the same location. Then on December 13th 2012, a community gift-wrapping event will be held at the Flower City Recreation Centre at 6:30 p.m., where hundreds of presents will be wrapped for delivery to a senior. On December 15th a second Gift Wrap Up party will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the franchise office. Contact: 905-463-0860 www.beasantatoasenior.com |
