Using your garbage bin

Garbage is collected every other week. Check your collection calendar for your pickup day.

This information applies to you if your address receives bin-based collection.

Using and putting out your bin

• To avoid odour and spills, consider putting garbage in plastic bags before putting it into the bin (optional).
• Leave at least 1 m (3 ft.) of space around your bin.
• Make sure the bin lid is closed.
• Face the bin handles towards your home and point the arrows towards the street.
• Do not place your bin in or on top of a snow bank
