Notice of Public Information Centre No. 2 – November 25, 2026
Background
As part of the Flow | Central Brampton Program, Peel Region is studying upgrades to water and wastewater infrastructure in Downtown Brampton. This project will help ensure local water and wastewater systems support future growth, including new buildings planned in the downtown core and along the Queen Street corridor by 2030. Improvements to area wastewater trunk sewer and watermain systems will also serve the Brampton GO, Centre Street and Kennedy Major Transit Station Areas in downtown Brampton.
Process
This study follows the Schedule B Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) process. The study includes: technical investigations; consultation and engagement with Indigenous communities, the public and stakeholders; evaluation of options; and selection of preferred watermain and sewer routes.
